Need parliamentarian help

I am the parliamentarian of a newly formed PTO at a new Charter school. I have never been on a PTO board and have little experience in the corporate world. I had no idea what I was being elected into though and need some help. Half the members on the board have a lot of experience and the others are winging it like me. Anyways, there are e-mails flying around blaming each other for things not getting done and being unwilling to meet so that we can discuss those things. Some are also not willing to budge on their ways of doing things or won't do anything until it is perfect. It is my preference to stay completely out of this since none of it is directed at me, but am I supposed to step in to assist with rules as the parliamentarian? HELP!

You have good instincts. Stay out of it. Do you have a list of the rules during meetings and how they are to beconducted? Just stick to that and show up at meetings to uphold the correct procedure during meetings. I would think that is what your job is about. You don't need that kind of stress!

I have often trained parliamentarians for PTAs. Your job is to advise the president, mostly when asked. Know the bylaws and the standing rules (and alert the president if they need to be amended to match current practices). Understand how a meeting should be run, how a motion is made, amended, voted on. Quietly advise the president if he or she forgets to take the vote after discussion, etc. Be sure the secretary is getting the business of the meeting recorded properly too. Stay out of the mess you describe.

Roof looks great with your brick! I'd follow suit with the windows and get windows with no grids that have bronze frames. (picture below just for frame color reference). For your door I think you could save your door if you're able to replace the ornamental glass insert with a simple one and paint it a bold color that compliments your brick. Otherwise a new mildly contemporary door with cutouts. Definitely remove the teal planters as their tone does not go with your brick. Some simple landscaping with perennials and shrubs underneath the windows would be very pretty. Where is the street in relation to the front of the house?

I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it.

Pick out colors or whites like you want. Paint on poster board, or buy the peel and stick color patches and put on poster board. Leave a white border all the way around the poster board, so it doesnt clash with the color you have now. Since you want the whole house the same color, then pick a color that goes in your kitchen with your cabinets etc first. Then try it in the rest of the house. The color in there now, does not go with your cabinets. It has way too much yellow in it. I would look for colors that have no yellow hues.

I don't, but if you click on the link that says "More Info" below the photo, you'll see which pro posted it on Houzz. You could then message them to ask whether they still have the color/brand on file. I would bet money that the Benjamin Moore store could find you a sage green in their Historic Color palette that is very similar.
