Has anyone tried Beestar or another free education supplement?

Do they like it? And was it effective? Is there anything else I should know? What happens if they fall behind? Is it worth the time/trouble? What are the good/bad things about it?

Are there other available free sources?

Thanks so much!

I found this one, but I'm not sure if it's for self-study and a lot of it seems for older kids.
There's not really anything on basic math, though.

Is this one OK for self-study? Although a lot of it is advanced, most of it seems interesting enough to try.

Here is a link that might be useful: Federal Resources for Educational Excellence.

I learned beestar from my friends last semester and my DD has been used it since then, and she loves to compete on this site with other kids from a lot of other states. Its very interesting, especially the math programs. It really improves DDs interest in math greatly.

Hi, we are also using Beestar. James has been doing the free math for more than a year, and started the GTM and Science from this semester. I think it's not hard for a 7 yo boy. His name often appears on the honor roll, and he has been more proud of himself. And we are proud of him.
