| Sorry if this goes against the intentions of this forum, but I had to try. I retired from teaching 3 years ago. My principal and friend is now retiring. She has at least two grandchildren she wants to spend more time with, but she's young for her age, if you know what I mean, and quite attractive.
I just got an email invitation to her surprise retirement party this coming Monday. Gifts are neither expected nor required, but I'd really like to think of something to give her. The best thing I've been able to come up with is a nice picture frame with places for maybe 3 or 4 pictures of her with her grandchildren. Then I'd like to make an appointment for her to have the pictures taken, but that would be impossible. Maybe a gift certificate to Olan Mills or similar that doesn't expire on a particular date? What do you think? One of her daughters lives in town and would probably be helpful. Should I call her? Thanks in advance, chery2 |

| Do you have a JC Penny, Sears, Rainbow Photo or something else in the mall? Even if you or she cannot get all the grandkids together they could put pictures in. Another thing, get or make a nice book, to hold pictures and or journeling. Check in the scrapbook section. Our Walmart has a nice variet of smaller books. Hallmark has a good selection also. They have some that you just add pictures. I think places like Olan Mills are too expensive and take too long. |
