Promoting resilience in at-risk children

Link up and look up. Get involve. Our job as parents is to lock and bolt the doors that lead to addictive and harmful behavior. Stand guard in the hallway! Intercept the destructive messages being given to our vulnerable kids. Distract them with better alternatives when the temptations are greatest. Stay tuned in. Get involved! Fight for what you believe!

Children are the true wealth of any nation and in them lies the hope of the future. Without them, there is no future--no freshness, no springtime, no youthful vigor.

Indeed, a society that is too busy and too preoccupied for its children is just a nation of aging, dying people who feed on their own selfish interests.

"If we fail to instruct our children in justice, religion, and liberty, we will be condemning them to a world without virtue, a life in the twillight of a civilization where the great truths have been forgotten." Ronald Reagan

How can will do more? This is one of the greatest concerns facing this nation.
