need a poem for teacher gag gift
Comments (4)Here is a poem I just wrote for you.......maybe not what you want at all, but here it is anyway. I realize that this poem would have to be inside of the can with the gift card?! Teacher, oh teacher, The joke is on you, It took us a while, Then we knew what to do. Inside of the can, Your gift you did find, But that it was there, Didn't enter your mind! So please take this gift, And our Best Wishes too, For a wonderful season, Spent with those close to you! :-) > *** maddya...See MoreNeed Ideas for teacher gifts
Comments (6)What about some Irish Dew - a bottle/can of Mountain Dew with the following poem on a tag: I ran into a leprechaun And asked if he'd been told Where the rainbow ended With the treasured pot of gold. He didn't know, but then gave me A special Irish brew (dew) To brighten your St. Paddy's Day I'm sharing some with you! OR..... Sit right down I have something for you, Here's a green bottle of very good brew. (of special Irish Dew) It's not a clover or rainbow or gold, Just a great drink, or so I've been told! (or a magical drink) author unknown or - take a small terra cotta pot and spray paint it gold (pot of gold) and put a roll of lifesavers in it standing up(the rainbow) and wrap with tulle and tie with a nice green ribbon and a tag wishing a Happy St. Pat's Day. Have fun! Lorraine...See MoreSpecial Ed Teacher/School gifts
Comments (7)That's going to get real expensive, really fast. My nephew is special needs. Here's what my SIL does. A gift card to the classroom teacher, usually to someplace the teacher can get classroom supplies. For everyone else, the one-on-one aide, the home nurses, the bus diver and aide, the therapists--she has my nephew make a card or a pencil holder or cookies or something else as gifts. My nephew's in fifth grade now and has a teacher, a teacher's aide, his own one-on-one aide, the bus driver, the bus aide, five different home nurses, physical therapists--home and school, occupational therapists--home and school, speech therapist, music therapist, two swim therapists (I don't know what they are really called, but they've worked some miracle and he can now swim unassisted), 11 doctors, the brace maker, the wheelchair guy, the mobility specialist and probably a few other people I'm forgetting. In your case, I'd give $25 gift cards to the teacher and the therapists. Then I'd give some sort of gift basket to the classroom--the teacher and the aides--something that they can easily split up amongst them. Cards for everyone else, handmade if your son can do that, or at least signed by him however he signs his name at this time. If you don't feel the card is enough, you can include a little thank you note of your own, thanking them for all the progress your son has made under their care. If you haven't had contact with someone, there's no need to give them anything at the holidays. I'm sure they won't be expecting it. (The nurse, the liaison.) Comments (11)This is a little late for this year but I wanted to share the response to the teacher appreciation gift I made for a 1st grade niece. She is always "designing" things for herself for us to embroidery. Last fall she came up with her idea but it didn't get stitched out until much later. It was the name of her school on the first row, elementary school on the next row, 5 stick kids on the 3rd row & "a fun place to learn" on the 4th row. She wore her's to school around spring break & her teacher commented that she needed one of those. She also had some flip flops she'd tied gingham check strips of fabric onto to match the pants she wore with her shirt. The teacher was admiring those too. As it got closer to school ending, she wanted to do flip flops for her herself & me make her a shirt. She gave it to her the day before school ended & she wore it the last day. I picked my niece up when school let out & she had a note with names & phone numbers of teachers that wanted to purchase one for themselves. Her teacher told her to give the note to her Mom so it wouldn't do for me to get it. Her Mom got with me on a price & started calling the teachers. She spoke with one she knew personally & she told her that all the first grade teachers had seen it on their hall, but when they went to lunch, the poor teacher couldn't eat for answering questions & standing up to model her outfit. She told her they were having a final teacher's meeting the following morning & she would pass the info on to those who may not have seen the gift. So ever who wanted to know what everybody was doing????? My answer is "Embroiderying shirts for school teachers"....See Moretrekaren
