Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Question

Hi,

It is Christmas night and

I got Paint shop pro photo ultimate x2.

Does anyone know if this has a paint program in it like

the old paint shop pro 7? I like to play with photos but

I mainly like to do my own artwork.

If not can you suggest a program that has brushes etc?

and doesn't cost 359 dollers!??

I had installed psp7 on vista and had to uninstall it.

It looks`like there is a paint program in it. And it surely
looks like a great photo editor. I also checked out Corel
Painter Essentials 4. The brushes are more extensive. It is totally about painting and looks like a tablet and pen would
be useful. Now this is a tough call. They both have advantages.

I emailed Corel with my problem and lo and behold, they answered this morning. I used their unistall download, which they say works better than add/remove programs. Then after reinstalling they sent me a link for updates/patches. Seems to be working fine now and so far the floppy drive is not being accessed when in PSP. OF course I have not used it yet to get photos from my old Sony, which uses a floppy disk. If I continue to have problems I will just try replacing the drive, it might just be bad. Thanks Casey. I will go and look. I also have PictureIt too Maryanne. (How are you feeling?) I used it years ago with my first scanner and I loved it. I bought the latest version just last month and I'd forgotten all about it. Thanks you too. I will post the end result when I'm through with it...IF I figure it out. PSP 8 is the best thing I've ever owned! It is absolutely amazing! I've had it since October 2003 and it's become my main hobby (making graphics). The possibilities are endless. The best way by far to learn it is to just find tutorials on the internet and do them. Trial and error is how you learn to use the program. The undo button and command history are magic. You can make an infinite # of mistakes and just undo them with those. Try out a bunch of different tutorials; join a graphics group like Kat Korner; or just open up a canvas and start doodling.

Just saw this and ordered Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. I have PSP 7 & X so I got the upgrade price

Looks like it has some stuff I wanted like Painter 4
