Snycal we have mixed breeds and 100% regesterd boers and 100% myotonic clown face fainters. we have had one buck born w/o horns he fought with the other bucks but never got hurt if that is what you were talking about. them goats HAVE HARD HEADS.WE WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH SOME OF OUR goats getting head hung in fence i found one of mine chocked to death if you will look at picture of black and white one that i already posted i put a piece of hard plastic pipe across her horns and used plastic ties works fine.heres a picture of our pyreneese she's got 2 more sisters runing around in the other pastures' they love coyotes lol were swamped with theme things at night around here. ive yapped enough goo to talk to all of you good people. thanks Eddie

I think it looks like wet soil too. If it's a scat I would not touch it without gloves and an N95 approved mask because it's not "normal" for any animal I know of. What I mean is that IF IT IS poop, it's likely poop from a sick animal and you need to take precautions not only looking at it but collecting it for specimen, allowing children around the area and indeed allowing pets around the area and when discarding of it. Re the holes in your lawn, how big are they? In my experience, squirrels don't make holes in the lawn.... my only plant damage from them is things like fruit theft and snipping off my tulip buds. :p. I've never had voles, but from what I've read I think they eat the roots of plants, not top growth. Lots of smaller holes in the lawn, along with dirt piles and ridges, is usually caused by moles.... but they wouldn't be eating/damaging your plants as described. If the holes are large, the problem could be groundhogs -- but you'd likely see them around. My sister has the occasional groundhog wander into her veg gardens and they steal/eat everything. eta, chipmunks will make holes in your lawn, but they don't do plant damage like you describe.
