Need help With a picture please.....

In my yearly attempt to get my brother and sister speaking again, I want to send this pic to my brother for Christmas. it is the only adult photo I have of my sister. what i hope to do is

take the gentleman out of the photo, and just have my sister in the picture so i can put it in a pretty frame.

I can't help you but someone should be along that can. There are some here who do terrific work on pictures.

You can make a big picture small but you can't make a small picture big and keep the same quality.

I imagined you scanned that picture?
If you would have scanned it much larger, then it could be made into a big enough one to be put in a frame.

Hi Grice, it's nice to see your around. I know you don't recognize this name but you know me as naturelover_MTL. I've changed my name to match my website... Anyhow, the previous instructions were right on but I'll also add my two cents worth... For photos to show directly on the page, write out your line like this: The above is an example to help you understand how it works, but it needs a tiny modification to make it happen. When you write it out, you must remove the space after the I only added them because I don't want to activate the code. If I remove the spaces, the browser will take it as an instruction to go ahead and display a photo.. So remove the spaces when you're ready to try it out. ----- For example, for your photo to be displayed directly on this page, the html line would have to be written like this: The http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd227/dandersongrice/10_29_20071_57PM_0001.jpg is the url (web address/location) of your photo. The rest of the wording tells the browser what to do/display on this page. When I remove the spaces after the , the code is activated and the photo should display below: Try it out!

I did a standard crescent (I think) white (there are about 6 different whites). I just matched the paper and I left 1/2" all around the print showing, plus enough at the bottom for the signature and seal. The mats on all of them, no matter the size is 3", so about 2 1/2 or so shows. It's a single mat, no spacers. I don't know if you can tell, but the matting isn't a perfect match with all of the papers, but it's very close to all of them. DH has collected a few more, but we haven't had them all framed, because it's a bit dear, I'll tell you what. We'll get to them, eventually. He's been trying to find all the names for them (from other Ebay listers). Did you see the original oil that just went on Ebay for $2,000+? It was gorgeous. DH says he got some of ours from finestartprints, as well.

No pictures but I can tell you about mine. I have a sofa table with photos all in the same frames in varying sizes. All are B/W or sepia; all are light-hearted photos of family members that are fun to look at and they date from early 1900's, WWII, mid century to current. I have another group of pictures on shelves that are just "sisters" -- me and mine, mom and hers, grandmothers and their sisters, etc.(as well as a couple of nuns), ranging from 1800's through current. I'm working on another group with the men in the family and one with just wedding photos of family members. I like to use a theme and a commonality in the frames and photos.

one question, yes, i did scan it, and how would i scan it larger as you suggested?

I depends on what kind of a scanner you use and the size of your photo to begin with.
I use an Epson 1200U.
If your photo is like a 3Â½x4Â½, scanning at Res 150 makes a 688x514 pixel size which I always use to work with. Scanning at Res 100, you get a 466x343 pixel picture.
I am posting two graphics to try and explain what to do.
I hope they are self explanitory?
The main thing is to select your photo before you scan so you do not get the whole area around it which makes for too big a scan and is wasted space.

i scanned it at 200, but when i sent it to photo bucket to post on the web, it auto resized it to the original.

how can i post the larger version? sorry all, you are having to deal with me. but i REALLY appreciate you help.
i have it save to my desktop right now.

Sweetheart, that is a 1980 C70 Honda Express I would like to sell if I can get the lead out to put an ad in the paper!
I have a "trunk" on the back of the seat now.
It has an electric start.
