Microsoft drops Digital Image Suite I not sure exactly what you are trying to do. I'm thinking you could find your pictures in Kodak EasyShare, click Edit\Select All, right click a photo\copy, then go find My Documents\My Pictures and paste them. At least you would know the photos are in My Photos. You don't need EasyShare to transfer photos from camera to computer. Most advise against installing software that comes with a camera. Once you get all the photos removed from Kodak EasyShare, you can go to the control panel and remove the program. PhotoBucket is just an online place to store photos. Don't know what the zig-zag is, and have no idea about a window that says to restore them or whatever or the little picture of a "lost" one. Anyway, I think you're going to need to learn how to transfer photos from camera to computer (if this is what you're trying to do) without using third party software, because they'll save them in hard to find places.

The problem on graphic loaded threads is avatars, over-sized pictures, fancy signatures, cartoons, etc. can cause difficulty, delay, and pure frustration for DUN members, low end "high-speed" members and those with unreliable/varying speeds. Not all members have reliable middle to high end dsl or cable. So for as long as I can remember members as a courtesy whenever possible have reduced pictures and refrained from loading up posts with graphics. When a member cancels viewing a thread because the thread takes too long to load or doesn't load all members lose. DA

I like the way it's shaping up, and have to agree with RHome on her concerns. - If the rounded ends look good with your house, they do offer a nice seating option -- but then do them on both ends (which would really complicate your trash). If rounded ends aren't right for the house, don't do them at all. - I have a raised seating area and love it -- but I also have reasons for it that don't apply in your case. Mine separates the cooking area from the visiting area, protects the cooktop, and also acts as a buffet zone when we're entertaining. In your case, it would cut out useful prep space; in mine, it doesn't. Plus, my island is HUGE and needed to be broken up. Yours is very nicely proportioned and IMO, should be kept symmetrical since everything else is. - Because of the symmetry issue, I'd be inclined to agree with RHome about your sink(s), and maybe go with one like the lower soapstone one I posted. It'll also be cheaper and easier to fabricate. And a deep sink really CAN hide stuff! (That was one of the unexpected bonuses I discovered that I have really come to love.) - I've found that when the time comes to eat, most of the mess is around the range, since prep mess can be easily tidied as you go without messing with your timing. And a range mess will be partially hidden by your doorway. But since you're concerned about hiding a messy kitchen, and have an extra thick wall there anyway, what about putting back the pocket doors? We have a pair separating our dining area from the TV room, and in the right setting - which I think you have - they can provide the perfect sense of separation with openness. And you know, you can use 'regular' doors with a pocket application -- you aren't stuck with those flimsy ones you so often see.

I worked this up on and off today and b/f I saw your most recent reply. I did turn the island...but I'm not sure there's an issue. I think I see the stairs in the first picture after the layout. Which wall in your layout do they line up with...the left wall or the right wall that defines the alcove on the right (where I put the Refrigerator in my layout below)? Here it is anyway... It has two spacious Prep Zones...the island and the perimeter counter b/w the cleanup sink and the range. The MW drawer is to the left of the range. A Tea/Coffee/Beverage Center could be on the other side of the cleanup sink - there's 51" of counter space (24" DW + 27" cab). [Or, it could be an alternate location for a countertop MW or one hanging from the upper cab. Personally, I like the MW drawer better as well as it's location - near the refrigerator and a water source.] The island has room for 2 seats, and possibly a third. There are 54 inches b/w the island and the DR table. The 35" you have in your design is far too narrow. You can get away with that narrow a space if there's no other traffic in the area, but that's not the case in this situation. I also moved the DR table a bit out to give you 33". 32" is considered the bare minimum when there's no traffic behind the seats. For pantry space, there are 42 inches x 30" deep to put whatever configuration of pantry pullouts you'd like. There is also a 12" utility pullout for a broom, mop, Swifter, etc. That 12" is needed to allow the refrigerator doors to open fully.
