I agree on the arranging, Kate. My whole computer is organized like a big file cabinet, including all my images. I collect thousands of images for graphic projects, and I have them in folders, subfolders, sub-subfolders, etc. And there's no way a program can do that for me. But for others who just want easy access to their own pictures, it might work well. For instance, if I want to find a photo of a dachshund for something, I go to Storage/Images/Animals/Dogs/Hounds/Dachshunds. A chihuahua would be in Storage/Images/Animals/Dogs/ToyDogs/Chihuahuas. All of my pictures are set up in folders that way, just like I used to file papers for a company I worked for. I have to have that type of arrangement, or I could never find a photo of a cottonmouth, for instance (Storage/Images/Animals/Reptiles/Snakes) or a passionflower (Storage/Images/Flowers/Vines). I don't think Picasa will let me do that, so for me, I wouldn't use it to arrange my pictures. And I use PaintShop Pro for editing, and I've never had any problems with Photobucket for picture sharing. So I'll probably stay just like I am. But Cindee may have a compatibility issue with Photobucket, so Picasa could be a good answer for her. Oh, and Kate...right there with you on AOL. I'd think seriously about giving up my computer before I'd use them, and that's no exaggeration. Having belonged to quite a few very large online groups, I know firsthand just how miserable their service can be. Of all the problems members had, AOL caused more than 90%. I say run away, RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Just my opinion, of course. Doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things. Marcia

I'm running an older version of PSP. (SQH is correct, the default file extension that PaintShopPro assigns is ".PSP", unless you change that to "JPEG" yourself.) If I'm working on a room, say adding a layer of wall color, then a comforter, then drapes, I'll save it as both .jpg and .psp files. Anything saved as .jpg is "flattened", in that all the layers are merged, so you won't be able to go in later and tweak your individual layers. It's necessary to save in .jpg so others can see it (universal format), but if you want to go back and do more tweaking it's best to save it also in .psp format, so layers aren't flattened and you can still go back and maneuver them if need be. Anyway, do a file search of your system for .PSP files and they should turn up. (If you've never searched your system go to Start>Search>Files and Folders and then put .PSP in the search box.) I'm confused tho. Are you saying, by default, PSP wants to save your files to a location that you don't use and don't specify? My version doesn't do that. It saves them where I designate. Last location I saved a photo will be first location a subsequent photo is directed to be saved, but if I don't want it in that folder I just maneuver to where I do want to save it.

Sewmuch2 I am glad I saw this thread. I don't subscribe to emails and was asually looking at the threads and dfon't go to page 3 usually:) I am loving the sectional now and don't even see the angles anymore:) I still have to complete the decoration of the room because I got sidetracked with landscape. I got a couple of blue pillows from Target and they look great on the sofa. It adds a lot of substance to the huge room. I am happy with the purchase. Please let me know if you want any pictures. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to decorate the tv wall. We out all the equipment for the tv in the wall behind so that we won't see the wire clutter but now the floating tv bothers me. We will change the size if the tv to a bigger one later on. The Tv is off the center of the wall because we centered it to the opening form the kitchen. I am thinking about putting a ladder like shelf to the side and a bog console table or ikea expedite under the tv. Any suggestions, please?

I am beyond amazed by the wonderful (and sometimes humorous) input on this thread! Wow! (Mamarella, your house looks beautiful, by the way! I can definitely see the similarities in color, although the scope of your house is much larger from the front.) On Monday, I picked up a bunch of paint chips at the local hardware store and held them up for my husband to see. (Many of them were colors that were recommended on here...or similar!) We have decided to go with some sort of blue (probably with green-ish undertones), but we had a lot of trouble narrowing the field down to one color. I have about 8-10 swatches set aside, and I am going to look them over tomorrow with a friend who has a good eye for color. Then, I will buy a few small jars of paint and see what actually looks good when it's up! We will see if the neighbors decide to chime in this time around. :-) To answer a few questions, I live outside of Boston, and we are moving from just a few blocks away. Therefore, I already know some of the neighbors, and they feel comfortable enough telling me when they don't like something....for better or for worse! Likewise, I appreciate the honest--and varied--input on this thread. :-) What a wonderful resource!
