OK, So I was up real early. Will start things off today.Hope no one minds. :) Did this one this morning-is the daily tut from one of my groups. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It just so happens that I have many, many plants to re-pot (who doesn't?) come spring. I also have to divide one of my Oncidium. That should keep me busy for awhile. Maybe I'll be able to hit a plant swap or two and get rid of some of my extras. I also have this large, shallow terracotta bowl that some one in my building tried to throw out. I've been trying to decide whether I want to fill it with black mondo grass or black clover.... maybe some ice plant? It has to be something full sun tolerant and preferable not an annual. Jonathan, good luck with the maidenhair! I brought my back from the dead myself. They are one of the few houseplant that absolutely will not adapt to low humidity levels. Very unforgiving of under-watering as well!

Here's a family portrait that my family members hang, although I do not display it in my own house:From left to right: DB Mike, DS Karen, DB Kevin, and me (in the black tank top). Photo was taken at my sister's house in Austin in April, 2001. I do not have any more recent than that. I have an autographed photo of Marc Singer (in Beastmaster costume) in my bedroom; I bought it at ComiCon in San Diego, I think. The only other photographs I have in my house are on calendars - one calendar is of exotic cars and the other is of Roman gladiators, which I bought in Rome. I do have this poster featuring one of my roommates at the time in San Francisco mid 1970s:Her name was Valerie; she is on the floor on the left, and she gave me this flyer. She was working as a model at that time and was photographed for the cover of Eerie Magazine as Spider Woman. A photo of me was featured in a San Francisco calendar for 1982 - I was between June and July. I never got a copy of the Eerie Magazine, although I have looked high and low for it. Perhaps it never got published. Here's the "Beastmaster" photo: Here's how the family homestead in central Texas looked circa 1870: This is the house where my father was born. In 1932, my great-grandfather and grandfather tore it down and built the house where I grew up. I never met my grandfather because he died a couple of years before I was born.

I couldn't decide which one of these to post so I just did both. I like the first one because you can see the lanterns better, second one because of the towering trees.And then there's this lantern picture. ( :Was surprised that these monkeys were famous even in Japan. The ones on the second plate.

I love it Sue and am going to try to get to it today. I am watching my granddaughter today, so it may be a little later before I get to it. P.S. grandbrats..anyone who wants to start the post for the day is more than welcome to,as long as someone does it and we try to keep it going...Everyone is doing a great job..I knew we could do it.
