I have the ASPIRE ONE 722- BZ454 net book...I do not see on the back of my net book any numbers like you had mentioned AOA110 or the other...so what does this mean? I have an updated net book? My battery is fine so far, but just wanted to check in the event this may happen to mine in the future. BTW, I used just once the internal camera...when I first bought this unit, and now I don't know how to initiate it. No manual or anything.

So there are 2 NIC cards and you cannot install drivers for either of them. At this point perhaps we should turn our attention to the motherboard. Have you tried using a different PCI slot? You might also try installing the video drivers to see if there is an issue there as well. Why did you decide to replace the CMOS battery? Nothing wrong with doing that but I was curious as to why you did it. Did you remove the power cord from the rear of the computer each time you went in making changes? As you had a PCI NIC card is this a home built computer? If so what motherboard is in there? If factory built give us a make and model of the computer.

Sigh. Yeah, I know. Elery has two ex wives, I have an ex husband, he has three sons with his first wife, a daughter with his second, of course I have the girls with my first. I was married 30 years to my first husband, until he moved out and moved in with his girl friend. Elery was married 15 years the first time, 14 the second time and each time his wives moved out and moved in with others. It makes for an interesting mix, especially when the "exes" bring the current spouses. If I feel "in over my head" I go play with the grandkids and let the "adults" work it out, LOL. Plus I have a Mom and a stepmom, and Elery has a stepmom, his Dad and Sister and BIL are Southern Baptist, my girls and I are Methodists, Elery's DIL is Jewish and David is Catholic. Owbist it worked with a few changes *lol* I unzipped the files and drag/dropped them into a folder I named "fonts". Then I went to "My Computer", clicked on the fonts icon and went to the top and opened "file". There I found the "Add Fonts" and clicked on it. The box opened and I tried to find my fonts folder. No matter what I did or clicked on it just would not open the area of My Documents where I had the folder. I noticed my cd/dvd drive was listed so I closed out of everything and made a cd of the fonts! Now when I went back and started over I just clicked on my cd/dvd drive, clicked "select all", hit "ok" and that was it!! Worked like a charm :o) Out of curiousity I open my PhotoShop Elements, opened a photo to play with, hit the font icon and they were now listed in the font list!! I'm a happy camper!!
