Epson printers - recommendations?
| | |

| My Epson Stylus C84 appears to be dying; it has had a lot of use for at least 3 years, so I probably need to replace it.
I need something with a reasonable trade-off between achievable quality and price of inks; it also needs to have light-fast inks. I am an artist and writer, and use the printer to produce small greetings cards from my paintings, but also print out lots and lots of text.
I liked the C84 because it has 4 separate ink cartridges, good quality and reasonable speed. Anybody able to suggest the best follow-up? |

| Thanks. I checked that one out on Amazon (well, the D88 which I assume is the same thing), and while the reviews are mainly favourable, it appears to be quite an ink-guzzler. Of course people have different ideas of how much ink they feel is reasonable... Have you got personal experience with this one, Urlee? |

| No I don't but at the time, I was considering the C86 but decided on getting the Epson R320 Photo printer which was a mistake for it really is for photo's and wasted (used more) on regular print outs which I do more of. Urlee |
