homestead web site redone

O.K. I've redone it a little..see if you think it is any better..It took me forever to realize that I had to restart my computer to get the changes to take effect...It doesn't say anything about doing that in the instructiions, at least I didn't see them..

Bev it's very pretty.
Well done. I really enjoyed seeing all the photos.
The only change I'd like to see is a button to go back to your homepage from the other pages. When I got to the Cruise pictures there was nowhere else to click - being able to return to page one would have felt like I'd completed the tour. :)

When you make changes instead of restarting your computer try refreshing - Press F5 on the keyboard as it often does the trick.

I love that feature as I just move my right thumb on it as my hand is on the mouse.
My friend has a back button on her mouse----(*envious*)

moontime, I need some sunshine. I realy like the article, JOSEPH ORR'S FABULOUS "MUD HEAT-STORAGE" SOLAR GREENHOUSE. I'm sirously thinking about giving it a wirl. It's to bad the article doesn't have more detail. 6ft x 30 roof collector? Is it like a solar water heater. Heating air instead of water. How much soil between the loops of pipe. Ect Ect.......... I read waltons homesteading site with interest, my interest peaked even more when it was suggested that those days are no more? well for the most part anyhow. I say this because I am in fact hand digging my water well just as our forefathers had done, yes its a lot of work and because I am 30 miles from town finding help is hard to find these days. I hope to be completed by the end of summer 2005.

I got it at Portland Nursery on Stark in (obviously) Portland... when I called they said they had one blue and one white, and while I was poking around I found two more blues in their display area. I bought all three blues and may have depleted their supply of that color. They do have a second store and it's possible they have it there. According to their web site, Joy Creek has it (www.joycreek.com), near Scappoose... they do mail order if you can't find a source closer to you. It's a charmer and I'm really glad I found it.
