We usually think resurrected threads contain spam--I opened this expecting to flag spam. :) The only good way to cook frozen raw chicken is sous vide. Next best, because it's most like, is low and slow. In theory, the speed function could work, because thermal cooking transfers heat from the outside in and microwave stirs up the electrons to make heat on the inside. The problem is getting the inside heated enough before the outside is ruined. I would trust GE on this, that it's not a good choice. I'm not really thrilled with the quality of the cook of chicken on speed cook even following the directions perfectly. It comes out edible, but the actual fact of speed cooking is antithetical to developing flavor. For the quickie-chickie between getting home and having to leave time for busy schedules, it's kind of a miracle, but rewarmed long form chicken tastes better if one has time to cook it ahead of time. The Advantium defrost settings work well. Why not just defrost first?

suburbanmd, The timing that is displayed on a custom cycle is more a general guideline as indicated from the owners manual p.24 states: 8. Start the program Press the flashing "Start" button. If a delay start is set, the remaining times elapses in the display. Once the delayed start time has elapsed or immediately after the program starts, the approximate program running time is displayed. The washer calculates the water absorbency of the laundry in the first 8 minutes. The overall program time may be shortened or lengthened. Additionally the sequence cycle is displayed. The washer shows the current program step. The drum door will be locked and the drum light will turn off once the program starts. Unless Miele is documenting and including in their unit database your machine's serial number includes the new firmware then the only means of determining whether your machine has the latest firmware is through the physical attachment of a laptop with Miele's proprietary software communicating between the two. After a Miele tech has actually connected to your machine then corporate's database is updated with information via Wi-Fi in real time. My machine's firmware had the "Hygiene Info" switched to the "on" position to display the machine should be run on a Sanitize cycle if too many cold water washes have been executed. Don't bother with the cord for syncing calendar and contacts. You can do this automatically, over the air. I do it with Gmail Contacts and Google Calendar, but I just looked it up for Yahoo, and you can do it with Yahoo, too. I assume you're already getting your Yahoo mail on the iPhone, and I am including a link from Yahoo for how to set up the iPhone to sync with Yahoo Calendar and Contacts. Then connect the iPhone to your computer with the cord that came in the original box. The first thing that pops up is the same dialog box that pops up whenever you connect to any storage device. I only use this dialog box if I have pictures on the iPhone and want to transfer them to my computer. After that, the sync starts automatically. To select your options for sync, you go into iTunes. About halfway down the left-side column is an entry for your device. Click on that. Across the top of the page, you will now see the categories for sync settings, i.e., "summary," "info," "apps," etc. Under "summary", at the bottom of the page, make sure the option for "open iTune when this iPhone is connected" is checked. If you've set up the Yahoo over-the-air sync, then ignore "info." Under "apps," click "sync apps." Also, if you want to change the organization of your apps, you can do it here by drag-and-drop, and the new organization will sync to your iPhone. I don't use special ringtones, but if you do, then go to the "ringtones" second and click to sync. Under "music," you can either choose to have your entire music library sync, or just choose individual playlists. I choose "all," but I don't have that much music. If you want to sync movies, tv shows, and books, choose those settings. (If you're not already doing it, do try some of the ebook reader apps, like iBooks and the Kindle app. And if you have a Netflix account, do get the free Netflix app and try watching a movie on the iPhone, just for the novelty of it!) Here's what I did for "photos." I set it to sync to a folder called "iTunes pictures" that I created on my computer. Then you can fill that file with the pictures you want to keep on your iPhone. Have you tried calling Bosch customer support at 1-800-944-2904? They should at least be able to tell you how to turn the oven on and set a baking temp even if Bosch does not have the manual available online for you to download..
