Me again. Thanks for all the encouragement. Carol I've tried digital painting - with a tutorial but didn't like it. One of the thing I love about painting is the texture and feel of the oil paint (even the smell) I enjoy using my fingers to smudge clouds and computer painting just feels flat after that. Here's one I did in PSP. Sorry I didn't keep the tutorial so can't offer a link. Sue :)

LOL Elaine it's water golf - go grab a snorkel and go get that ball!! Dropped Jack off at the vets an hour ago - poor baby had to be muzzled and they gave ME that job - lol what a fiasco as I've NEVER put a muzzle on him before - Yes I understand the need for it but geez it was stressful enough without me fumbling about trying to tighten straps. Anyway they sedated him while I was there so he was calm enough at being left so now I'm waiting for them to call and let me know what the problem with his paw is. Will keep you posted Sue :)

Thank you ladies. Deb the classes are held at the local community centre. The teacher is a landscape artist who takes us through a picture a week step by step - he stands at the front and paints and we copy him. Lots of fun. The flowers on canvas was a one off thing just so we could experience something different, next week it will be back to landscapes on wooden boards :)I love the effect of the background with the canvas - it absorbs the paint faster than wood. Elaine - good idea. i'll start a new message and put the frame link as well. HUGS Sue :)

I'm really happy with how it turned out - it was just oe of those paintings that seemed to flow and everything came together nicely. We added lineseed oil to the paint for the first time ever - usually just use turps and it seems to have given it a lovely gloss finish.

Urlee I had to log on too - annoying isn't it!
But worth it to talk to all of you and get my PSP hit.

It's really hot here today too - a real Australian Summer day.
Wish that spot was close by as I'd be laying under one of those trees enjoying the breeze from the water instead I will just have to have a cold shower and drink more water.
