This is/was a Photoshop tutorial...
Amazing Circles (PhotoShop)
Tutorial will work in PSP 8...9...X.
#1 Open a colorful photo (be sure and duplicate and close the original)...
Crop a square from the image (any size square)....Or....
Open a New Image (square size) and flood fill with a Pattern.
#2 Effects > Distortion Effects > Polar Coordinates > enable 'Polar to Rectangular' (bottom button).
#3 Image > *Free Rotate > Size 180 > OK
*Control R on Keyboard will bring it up.
#4 Effects > Distortion Effects > Polar Coordinates > enable 'Rectangular to Polar' (top button).
The right side will give you background color...choose the 'Color' button (right side) and select the color you want to surround the circle....Also, try the other buttons you may like them, too.
They also can be animated...make them fairly small (all the same size) and use a different one for each frame.
Examples:
Except for one, each one in the frame was made from a different Pattern...
Gradient Circle
#1 (flower)
#2 (flower)
The following were 3 different photos of a Bee.

Fun, but, very addictive, don't blame me if you get hooked :-)

Joy they are really neat, although do I want to try another tut in X. I'll have to think about this. |

| JoJo, of course you do...this is soooo easy, you can't go wrong. When you're playing (and you don't want to keep the circle) just use UNDO, until you're back to the original square, then start over. Urlee, very neat, but a little too fast, slow it down a bit. For something different: Use an effect (or plugin filter) on the photo (like Kaleidoscope) before you start the Circle tut....it gives a different and neat effect. This was flowers....I used a plugin on them first.

Wow Joy, I had to put on my sun glasses. Pretty. Ya, I had it slower but chose the faster. |

| Oh Joy, thank you for this! You don't know how evil you have made me with this in my arsenal. Good natured "discussions" at another board and I just happened to have a picture of my opponent. She sure is twisted now! LOL! |
