Mirror Mouse - Mandy's Way

Whew. Even with better instructions this still drained me. LOL

It took a long time but I have the satifaction of knowing "I did it!"

If anyone wants Mandy's tutorial please email me & i'll send the .doc file she wrote - it's pretty big with screen shots but well writen - her first tut.

I did resize it to 50% before saving animation.

That looks like a room I would have. I'd go with hershey bar chocolate brown and werther's butterscotch gold and maybe some off white. Maybe stripe or figured towels? I didn't see a shower. Maybe a mirror on that long wall? There are lots of oval stenciled ones around. I know. I've been looking at mirrors. I like yours a lot. Tell me about it. Maybe another one with a similar frame hung the long way? It looks like your medicine cabinet is about half way of the long wall? Then build your art work around the mirror? It might add some depth, too. I drag home 3 or 4 times as many things as I think I will use, hold them up and return the ones that don't cut it. I'll be doing that real soon. I want to have my paper up first. Yup. Papering. There's something about paper that speaks to me.

i've had mice in my house for a bunch a years, but for the past few months i felt the urge to get cleaner and more hygenic so i did and the mice left for a while, as more time passed by i felt lazy again so the rats started to appear more often. I think i have rats in the walls. i start to hear scratching when i'm often in my room alone. whenever someone opens the door or i move around to make sound the noise stops but i know their still in their. I don't know how they got in their. they only explanation i can think of is this huge hole in the wall. i have 3 holes in the wall over all in my house, due to not having doorstops, so the door just bangs on the wall causing a hole whenever someone opens it. but the holes are in the middle of the wall, so i don't get how they could get up their. my bed is near the 2 holes. but the front and backboard of my bed are mahogany wood, and is painted with smooth brown paint, so it's really slippery. i can't set up traps in the attic, because first of all i've never been in there. second there's probably a billion rodents or bugs in there because i've had them for years, and third i'm not even sure it's an attic i've just been told it is one. It's on the roof of my garage with a long string hanging down that your supposed to pull to open stair steps i think that lead up to the attic. i'm not sure i've just seen people on tv do that. i really need help now, because with my work and leaving the doors open a lot for people to come in, the rats come in too i guess. How do they come in anyway, do they just follow through the door or trashbags or something? Well thanks anyway for any help i might receive. - yo-hizzae P.S. i've tried rat traps for years, but i think they already what happens when you do that. i don't want to try poison, because i hate the smell when the rats die. I also have this rodent killer spray, but you don't see rats in plain sight that often, so it's sort of useless.Any other suggestions would really work. oh and i don't like scented candles, i'm afraid my house will burn down. -Vanessa, thank you. I would also love to hear what you brought home with you! Did Glenn's enthusiasm for The Minnesota Mafia get you too? Lol. BTW...Did you see the kittens? OMG, I wanted to take the little blonde ones home! When you post your newbies, add Cabbage Patch too? I've been meaning to ask you how it's doing? Mine seemed "tame" last year. Yours? -BC, I said Hi to Glenn for you and he had a big grin on his face when he realized who it was I was referring to. Such a friendly and likeable fellow. :). I asked how he fertilizes and it's all granular, time release little green bb's! -Jerry, yes, ecstatic is a good description...about everything! I'm not sure how many he actually dug up for me (I was all over and everywhere) but it is standard practice for them to be potted up in new pots, and filled with a freshly mixed, lovely fluffy mixture that resembles my own! Mini Skirt was dug right up from a growing bed! I was very lucky to get it that day. Lets talk budget then, lol! I took a set amount in cash (more than I needed) and when my order was rung through, which included 4 more hostas than my list, I still had $ left over. i laughingly said, "I can't go home with this money, I brought it to buy hostas so... I need to get more hostas!" Two more hostas, a bit of fertilizer and I was efficiently shopped out, Lol - my job was done! So....Attach a box like Paula and her husband had, got on that bike, and head on over to Glenn's! There are many gorgeous hostas waiting for you! -NHL, thank you for that and yes, I'll be posting progress pics for sure. Golden Gate will get brighter, Beet Salad beefier, Jujen will finish unfurling as will its Mama .. and the list goes on... -Dave, Mickfields is enormous! Almost too large an assembly? it gives a totally different vibe, doesn't it? We have one or two that are huge, full nurseries (trees/shrubs/vines/perennials of all sorts) but have gone overboard, IMO on all kinds of extraneous non-gardening doo-dads, including clothing! and don't specialize in hostas but at least offer a broad enough selection. I prefer the home-based or family-run businesses/nurseries for the personal approach and display gardens. We need more like them. The hosta business has been booming for many years in North America. I don't think it will ever "go out of style". Regardless of what some say, the hosta business is a cash cow...but you have to love hostas a lot not to mind all the countless hours of work.

Sorry I shouldn't call it Mandy's tut as the credit for the tutorial goes to Dorothy.

Mandy just translated it for us into "Easy to follow steps" or English LOL

I'm stuck on the mirror tut doing it Mandy's way. Starting with step 23 and 24. I don't get what you mean in those steps. Maybe I need pictures? Can someone help, please?

Hi Teri
As you put the mice coming downwards unhide your reflected name as you go. On some mice your text will need to be merged as it has to show but on other mice you rehide the text BEFORE copying to AS - but you'd need to unhide it to check if you need it or not.

With step 25 it means to delete any reflection text thats showing OUTSIDE of the mirror. By selecting the mouse/mirror layer before erasing on the text layer you can rub out all over the place without destroying your mice image. Just unselect before you copy those layers to AS.

Well, here it is. Finally!! I started, restarted and backed up more times than I can count. This was a challange for me. Now, after all that work, photobucket is doing it to me again, where they resized my graphic so it's so small that no one can tell what it is. I don't know why it's doing that.
