I had my new Dell computer installed today. For those who are interested..Here is what I got.
XPS 400 ---Intel Pentium D 830 (3GHz) W/DUAL Core Technology w/Windows XP Professional
Memory--2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM AT 533 MHz
Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
Video Card- 256MB PCI Express X16 (DVI/BGA/TV-Out)ATI Radeon X600 SE HyperMemory
Hard Drive - Data Safe 250 GB (Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
w/DataBurst Cache
3.5in Floppy Drive
CD or DVD Drive -Dual Drives 16X DVD-Rom Drive +16X DVD+/-RW w/dbl layer write capablilty
Speakers - Dell 5650 5.1 100 Watt Surround Sound Speaker System with subwoofer
Whatever all that is?
Anyway, as soon as I re-install all of my programs, I will hopefully be good to go.

Good for you Bev, you will love it! We are on our second Dell, this one is just a year old. We have found the service just great. This one right from the start seemed to run a much louder than our first(which we had for six years) and it also seemed to get much warmer than the other. We called Dell they sent out a tech, he installed a larger fan, and we were good to go. No charge. Carol |
