In the IE8 Browser, Look over to the left top of browser where it says Page, Safety, Tools. Click the arrow Next to Tools when the window opens hold you mouse over TOOLBARS ANOTHER WINDOW will open please make sure there is a check mark in the box to the Left of Menu Bar. I am happy for you Susan! I have bought several electronic devices from woot all with great success never a problem. I wanta to get a new computer for my husband his laptop is old and slow and has issues. I have been thinking about a desktop instead of the laptop too. His eyesight is not as good as it once was I think he would enjoy a bigger screen. I am seriously considering putting a Linux operating system on it just because of the whole windows 10 debacle. The latest version of Linux mint is so much like Windows 7 and he's been using android on his tablet and phone. It would end my having to deal with keeping his computer updated, very easy on Linux. I hopeyou get lots of use from the new computer!

Why don't you send the files/foldesr to a flash drive then simply put them on the new PC Plus on the new PC open IE as well as Edge and export IE's favs to Edge that way

mtvhike, don't you first want to ask how much data storage he's using and what kind of files they are? So I'll ask - big al, what kind of files do you have and how much space is being used in total? A file is a file is a file as far as a Windows version is concerned. File compatibility can be in issue with different versions of a program/application, but not with different versions within the same operating system family. And sometimes not between families either. I'm not a fan of having more than one internal drive, unless the extra space is needed for apps using very large files frequently accessed. That's true for few people. You're really better off having backups files disconnected and offline and not on the PC you're using ( to be safe from power surges) and with extra files on cheap external drives easily replaced.
