I don't have messenger but if you post the link here then some of us could work on the tutorial at the same time and post our results. Then we could talk each other through the steps if need be.

I use PSP7 but I know a few of the girls are now using X so just put a link to what you're working on and I'm sure it will prove useful to have a few heads working on the same thing.

Hi Sassy! Welcome. Like Sue said, when we first started using this forum for PSP, we would take turns (sort of) posting different tuts and work them together. There would be lots of questions (me, mostly :) and it worked out well.

Just post your tut and ask away! These wonderful, brilliant gals are more than willing to help. Don't do like I did and get so frustrated that you give up. I did just like you are doing now, I'd get so far and get 'stuck' and I just hated to keep asking questions. Nobody else was having trouble. Sheesh! I felt like such a dunce. One of these days, I'm going get 'back in the saddle' again.

Sorry this post is so long .... when I read your post, I guess it hit a nerve. Hang in there and don't give up. It really is fun and there's a great sense of accomplishment when you complete one of your 'masterpieces'. HTH

You weren't the only one having trouble but I pretended to be smart and waited for you to ask & then finished the tut. LOL

Seriously the easiest way to do a tutorial is in a group as what makes NO sense to one person will be fine for another and vice versa. We all help each other and that way we can all be winners.

Bravo for all that has been said!
I can not stress enough, the importence of us all knowing and doing the SAME tut together to help anyone with a step they get stuck on!
It is then posted here as an SOS and we all try to solve it for you. I have been stuck on steps that were so hard for me to understand when it was a SIMPLE one for others. No one can top me for being so confused.
Take it from me, I have been there and know what a WONDERFUL system that was!
If it weren't for that, my PSP would be in the garbage!
I just want to apoligize for making so many gals's hair turn grey before their time!:)
I still have tutorials that cause me GRIEF as they really are poorly written. (I can say that now cause I am a little more familier with PSP).

I have to agree with everyone on that. But I especially agree with Urlee, sometimes the tuts are so poorly written that it seems like no matter how many times you re-read,re-try, re-think it it still doesn't work. I have also noticed a lot more now with absoutely no screen shots. ( I really need those sometimes) and these are not for advanced PSP'rs most are for intermediate. But until I start writing tuts (which will be never) I guess I shouldn't complain and just come here instead of throwing in the towel, which is what I usually end up doing.

Oh my goodness you girls are lifesavers! It does make you feel better to know you can get help! I was so frustrated and mentally drained last night I just had to quit on it, but starting from scratch again! lol

This is the one I wanted to do, it didn't look to be so hard, but then I'm sure it will be simple to ya'll. Thanks for your help girls! Its so appreciated!

I got in to print the first two pages, then when I clicked for the 3rd page, it went black on me so I tried to get in again and I just get a white screen with the word DONE on the status bar. That has happened to me before on msn so I will try again later to get the rest of it printed out then see if I can do that tut. ok?

Thats ok Urlee! I have it bookmarked and it still gives me the wrong page....I don't know whats up with that. But I don't care which one I do...I have the girl with the wallpaper behind her, but next am I working with the background or the girl with the background? I'm really confused with this next step for some reason. (I'm sorry, I'm no new I still got tags on! lol

You copy and paste the girl onto the blank canvas as a new layer which gives you 2 layers in the layer palette.
She calls her anime which confused me too.
Then you add a new layer and flood fill it with your pattern.
Are you that far yet?

No I just held off and went to next step of lassoing the hand and deleting whats inside the cup handle..got that waiting...now going back to fix the other thanks! I'' let ya know!

just wanted to let you all know that the problem is with MSN--it's been a bear for several days now. I found a thread in the general area of this board and even the members are having a LOT of problems with this board--.

I have 9 sheets of paper printed out and hate to see them go to waste. Hope there isn't much left--------should have printed on both sides.

I was so tired last nite I didn't even understand your post. lol Yes I have that done and a layer floodfilled with the pattern. The next step is where I'm confused..

After you floodfill w/pattern, add a new layer and drag it to the bottom.
Have white up in your materials palette and activate your flood fill tool, then click on pattern image and flood fill. You will see the bottom layer turn white in your palette. Oooops, that is if you are using the wonderful PSPX version. Otherwise you have to run your mouse over your bottom layer to see if it is white. Then you click on the pattern layer in your palette to activate it and do the 28 opacity.
