| I have an HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-one scanner/copier/printer. I get along just fine with it except when I want to scan something into my Word Program. I have Word 2003. I can't figure out how to scan just the picture and not the whole scanner bed along "with" the picture. I know I can go ahead and do that and then cut the white scanner part off, but that interfers with what I am doing at times....can anyone tell me how to scan just the picture into Word? |

Maybee, You have to crop it. I have an Epson Scanner. |

| I've been putting into into Word or PSP and cropping from there, but I'll try what you are telling me....sounds like I could save a step and that's what I was hoping for, but couldn't seem to "get it" Thanks |

I have a Cannon Scanner and it works similar to Urlee's.

| I know how to get it into one of those programs like PSP and crop it, but I like to scan things right into my Word Program and I end up getting the whole screen. I can crop it there also, but I would like to crop it on my scanner first. I haven't tried that "preview" option as yet...I'll see how that works.. |
