It has nothing to do with "required" because no business is "required" to do do anything but suck up a much revenue as possible. It has to do with their shady, nasty business practices against other nurseries, their planned obsolescence, their denial of the US as having multiples climate zones, and the sandbagging and excuses I've seen people on the forum make justifying the actions taken by David Austin Roses. For two years, COVID was blamed. Okay, fine. But a third year when the rest of the world gets the code again and we don't? I'm calling out those that defended the decisions and actions taken. I say I smelt something fishy the whole time. It's like VW- in Europe, they have a wide color palette with over 20 choices and what do we get here in the States? Five shades of grey, one red, and a blue or two. It has to do with a lack of choice and what is supposedly one of the largest markets in the world that's being treated more like a third world afterthought. The US is more of a "leftover" dumping ground it seems. I understand some people would never be able to understand those things or why it can be perceived as a reasonable irritant. Yes, my understanding is that a lot of products sold at discount retailers (Nordstrom Rack, DSW, etc) are made especially for the retailer, and sometimes lower quality or design. I used to be an avid Nordstrom Rack shopper about 15-20 years ago, but then they started swapping out their goods with lower quality versions rather than items that didn't sell at the regular Nordstrom store. I usually find the same items on Zappos that I do on other retailers, so I think they usually sell the same non-discounted items. Amazon can be hit or miss and I'm always skeptical if the price looks especially good.

It has been a couple of years but I am pretty sure LLBean runs a weekend of 20% or 25% off ... I don't remember details and I don't know if they have kept it up but I think it's waiting a day or two. If they were going to do it, I would think it would start tomorrow or Monday. Good luck!
