Is there anything good that I can make for shining up jewelry ? There must be a good alternative to buying some.
Thanks ~ :)

How about four parts water, one part ammonia and about a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid (Dawn,Palmolive,Joy,etc.) . Soak costune jewelry in in, rinse in plain water, polish with a soft cloth. No good for pearls. Or watches, obviously.

From a friend who is a jewelry wholesaler and his father owns a jewelry store: 1/2 ammonia and 1/2 hot water. Works every time.
