Raven, could you let me know what version of the update you get when you get around to redoing it. I got the same email today. I updated mine for the 1st time yesterday. I wonder if it's the same firmware version. According to the info in my settings, the firmware I now have is S10_09_23_B_PD......... I used the PC version and thankfully got it right the 1st time. I hope it's the latest version, tho I had no problem with the update, reinstalling my WiFi is a pain, usually takes me several tries-many many numbers and letters.

bengardening your lookbook should have come with a very nice case, the case is included. That was one of the nice things that the case came with it for such a good price. But that is funny because my new sylvania tablet did not come with a case and Friday night my husband walked in with a brand new leather Infinity case, they had a bunch of extras. and it fits my tablet great. Back when we were all getting the Pandigitals several people on one of the android forums had found that owner manual cases would fit them. moonie it depends on how good of a signal it is trying to pick up it can take several minutes, it may say searching, it may say trying to locate signal, if it finds one it should say trying to obtain IP address. When it gives you the list of names of the wifi that it has found then you click it on that one you want and it should ask if you want to connect or something like that. Have you gotten that far has it given you a list of possible wifi connections it has found? I have at times had to just keep hitting the wifi button to do it over till it catches and starts searching. Now that mine is in memory now though it finds mine pretty quickly. janie to delete any icon just put your fingernail right on that icon and hold it steady pressure it should then hilight or change and when it does a trash can should appear and you then drag it to the trash can. If you have one on say the home page to the right and you want it on the main homepage same thing put finger on it hold pressure the drag it over till it flips over to the other home page. There are other ways to do it also but that is usually the easiest. Were you able to get your kindle and the aldiko apps?

it will connect to any wifi wireless network so if you have a wireless router in your home it will connect to it, it also comes with a usb cable so you can connect it directly to your pc if you need to use it to move stuff from the pc to the PDN, it takes a memory card also like the ones used in cameras, you can store a lot of books, pictures, videos etc on the sd card and then insert it into the PDN and use them from the card.(up 32gig size) It is extremely easy to use. If you do not have wireless at home it will use any wireless hotspots like those at libraries and starbucks etc. it does not use a cell phone type connection like the kindle does. You are doing great! And it sounds like you are doing some of the same things that I am! At the moment, I'm procrastinating (taking a break) from cleaning up my worktable so it can get in gear for Christmas. It's been the world's slowest quilting station for the past few months (in that I only get to it a few minutes here and there), but now I need to change gears and put that away for a short while to start getting packages ready to ship- within the next 2 weeks :) Medical stuff is interesting in some ways. It's not something that I've had a great deal of experience with, but am getting a little more. From my perspective, I would keep the more bureaucratic end of things in a 'to be shredded' type situation, and keep information pertaining to your actual medical health in chronological order for the long term. Sometimes it's helpful to look back at your medical reports/results over the long term. In some cases you can probably do this online, but I can say for myself that keeping paperwork that you can lay out and look at can be very useful. I'll give you a very recent example. This week, DH got results from a routine blood test that said it was out of acceptable limits. Very quickly we were able to pull out paperwork results from the last time he had these tests from two different sources (4yrs and9 yrs) and the levels were almost identical- and considered normal then. This was incredibly helpful for us to not panic and to come up with suitable questions regarding what is going on (i.e. was it suppose to have been a fasting test they did, but they forgot to mention that to him?) This is a little bit difficult to write about, so I will try to keep it succinct, but last year a family member of ours overdosed on RX drugs. What happened was he messed up his brain and essentially made himself a dementia type patient for 5 months, unable to care for himself. During that time, we ended up setting out and tracking down as much medical information as we could about him, because he was not capable of answering questions from a standpoint of reality. It would have been much easier had we had paper copies from his home to begin with. For the first few months, we didn't have an accurate medical picture of who he had been for the past years (he is a hermit, for lack of a better word) which made his doctor's appointments a hit-and-miss proposition. In the end, my DH ended up collecting everything we were able to get from the past few years, and filing it in chronological order inside of a binder. I would definitely go that book-style route again with medical records and decide on the topic whether they should be kept for 2 years, 5 years, indefinitely. Right now, DH, DD and I are able to keep all our medical stuff in a small folder, but as we get older and have more things going on, I will probably look into using a binder, maybe even filing by year with page separators?
