Comments (12)Refilling the bottles is actually quite easy. But can be made very complicated if desired! LOL The top actually unscrews. The trick is that they have little raised things on there so it appears it doesn't. What I did was to take a small sidecutters and cut up the side of the cap a bit between the notches and bend them out a bit, unscrew the cap and then cut off the bottom ring. You could use a sharp utility knife if you're careful. Some just take a "channellock" type pliers or a strap wrench, get a grip and unscrew it. I was hesitant to do that in case I damaged the cap or bottle. So I took the time to clip it. Some just cut a hole in the bottom of the bottle, fill it with a funnel and plug it with a cork. There's also places that sell little cap things to modify a bottle but once you unscrew the top and remove the little notches, you're fine. Do I need to give a disclaimer? Be careful that you don't cut yourself! That's why a small sidecutter is preferred, but a razor blade will work. The trick is to cut between the teeth (there's about 12 of them as I recall) and carefully pry the plastic away from the bottle. A small screwdriver or scratch awl works well. I did have it happen once that when I had refilled several times, the top started to leak. Also, the bottles are pretty flimsy and I had one that the clips that hold it in place had poked holes in it. If I haven't made it clear I could take some pictures and post. Let me know how it goes....See Morestupid swiffer duster question
Comments (18)I have had a swiffer duster, but I thought it was VERY expensive. Especially since I have a ton of dust in my house it doen't last that long. Fortunately, I went to the Dollar Tree and got a cheap duster with a REUSABLE cloth. So I can just toss it in the wash and have it clean the next day. I think it works great and I have had it for 1 year and it has held up wonderfully. Especially since I am harsh on it. If you would like one I got the one with the thread kind not the ones with the finger like one. I think it is better than a swiffer duster and I is MUCH cheaper because you can reuse the cloth. You don't have to replace it:)...See MoreSwiffer cover....was someone here looking?
Comments (4)Whoever was looking for that Swiffer pattern must have made an impression on the rest of us. I found a duster cover today and wondered where it was that I had seen someone looking for that pattern. I came across a pattern at www.sugarcream.com. Actually I think there were two patterns there - one Lily Sugar'n Cream Duster Cover pattern to knit and one to crochet....See Morequiltglo
