Serta mattress at Sam's Club

I've been looking for a new mattress and Sam's Club carries Serta at a really good price. I haven't been able to find any reviews online. Has anyone purchased a Serta mattress from Sam's? If so, can you tell me about your experience? I don't want to waste the money if it's not a good product, regardless of the good price. Thanks for the help!

I believe that is what we bought at Sam's and it was fine. We have only bought a "good" mattress one time at $800 and it was a piece of junk. It was king size and was high in the middle and on the sides. The store referred us to the Simmons rep, the rep referred us to the store. I didn't want to fight it, I just marked it up as a lesson learned. Back to Sam's next time.

As with many manufacturers Serta makes different quality products for different retail establishments. You'll need to do some research on Serta mattresses sold both at Sam's Club & through non-discount establishments. It's just like Kohler or any other product carried at places like HP, Sam's, or Lowe's versus a plumbing store...all Kohler products are not equal. And, all Serta products are not equal.

I have a Sam's Club mattress, California King size. Bought it in 1999, for $600 and it is still good. I would never pay dept or bedding store prices.

Many scientists (especially from other countries) disagree. They are becoming more and more alarmed at the health risks associated with having wireless signals traveling through humans. When you sleep you should try to have all wireless devices turned off or at the least away from you. Sleeping on a mattress without metal and a bed frame without metal is an attempt to keep wireless signals from latching on and keeping you in a hotbed. Even if you don't have any wireless devices in your home, you can still be effected by wireless signals that travel from cell tower to cell tower if you are in the path. If you live in an apartment building or close to other houses, you are being effected by wireless signals that travel from the cell towers or from wireless routers to the other tenants/residents cell phone and computer devices. Some countries are banning "wireless cities" because of this. Aside from the metal springs/bed frame concern, conventional mattress off gas nasty chemicals for years and you breathe/absorb those chemicals while you sleep. It is just the truth. Don't shoot the messenger.

As for getting the topper quickly--mine from Overstock was ordered on a Monday and arrived Wednesday morning. Now that's quick delivery. Also, you can usually find a free shipping coupon for overstock, thus saving the low $2.95 shipping fee. If you find the topper making you too warm at night, get a thickly padded quilted top mattress pad to cover it. With that, I've not noticed an increase in warmth.

When I was in the market for a new mattress, I went to Macy's and found one I liked. It is a pillowtop. The saleslady asked if I wanted a full size box spring or half. I had never seen such a thing, but told her a full size. When it was delivered it was so high I couldn't get up on it. I made them take it back. I also wrote a letter of complaint because I felt the saleswoman should have pointed out that none of the mattresses on the showroom floor had the full size box spring. I had never seen one before and I thought she should have pointed out the fact that I would need a ladder just to get into bed. There was no difference in price between the full and half box spring. My mattress does have a crater in it and is too heavy for me to turn. I don't like it, but I can't just go out and buy another one so soon. :(

Ditto. A lot of manufacturers do this. That is why you will never find and identical appliance, of the same brand, to one that you see at Best Buy.

If you look at the Sam's Club Serta mattress it will probably have a style name associated with it like "Dreamtime" or "Heavenly". I bet that you will not find the "Dreamtime" or "Heavenly" style anywhere else for sale.
