I have started using the regular glass pie plates for leftovers. I do cover with plastic for storage and remove for the microwave sometimes using a paper towel if I think it is needed. The thing I really like about the pie plates is they stack well even with food in them and save space in the fridge.They also heat faster in the microwave because the food is not so thick to heat through. I also love the correll side kicks and grab them when I see them in thrift stores and yard sales. No lids with them. They are perfect for one serving or the little dribs and drabs left over making a nice little hot lunch. Chris

My dog has just started on them. She is a 11 year old Rott. She has been throwing up yellow thick bile just about every morning, for months. At times she throws up throughout the day. She will cough and up it comes. Now right now she is coughing and she threw up alittle while ago.This stuff is very hard to get off the arpet as well, it stains it. The vet said it could be a number of things causing this and wants to do tests that I can't afford. We have tried changing her food, feeding her small amounts and so many diff pills. I even take hard dog food, (responds FP, I think it's called) add water and mush it up so it would be easier for her to digest. He put her on prednisone 10 mg twice a day, for 3 days, which she didn't throw up, just sip a few times. Then once a day, which now she is starting to throw up again. He says she can't be on it for long, that it isn't healthy and can cause other problems. She also is to get an anti acid pill everyday. He said it was a panceas, IBS, acid reflux, the only way to find out is to put a tube down her, into her stomach or to explore surgery. I can't afford that. I am new to the group here so I don't know if I should be posting this some place else?? Thanks for any help you can give me, hope I have explain everything well enough about my dog :)I am lost and don't know what to do for her anymore. She is healthy in every other way, excect, now due to this she is losing weight. She only easts for 4 cups a day and doesn't want to even eat that half the time. I feel so sorry for her. sue

has anyone done this? it sounds very cool to have the same granite extend into the sink and use up extra slab material. Are there concerns of leaks? any experience and pros and cons? costs?

We have lots of leftover containers. Square glass with snap-lock lids, round glass with rubber lids, Tupperware and lookalikes, salvaged Chinese takeout tubs, canning jars with screw lids, mason jars with clamp-on hinged lids, and probably 5 other species. They are impossible to keep organized. It is like herding baby cats. Every year or so, I go and sort through the kittens. I discard the cracked ones, the ugly ones, the ones that have lost their mittens. Yet there are never fewer than the previous year. I believe these containers are a sort of non-carbon-based lifeform, that lives and breeds in the dark places in our homes. Like clothes hangers, solo socks, and those black plastic things with two or three metal horns and long wiggly tails. To the best of my knowledge, we don't consciously buy these containers. Why would we? At any given moment, there might be three or four items of left-over food in our refrigerator. Yet we have thirty, forty, soon fifty such containers, jostling and clinking and breeding in the darkness of their corner cabinet. I feel like I am being watched. Sometimes I find the cabinet door ajar. I don't know what they eat. But one of our real cats is missing.
