Ahhh, thanks everyone! This was fun & even more fun to hear back from you all! Appreciate your "sweet" comments *blush* The cowgirl pic was in 1950 (turned 4 yrs. old) in our backyard...I was a "town girl" and a "tomboy." (like purplemoon!) MiloM...yes, it is fun to mess with photo software...I love it & then can pick & choose what ya want to print! PM...the jean legs I sewed were to be napkins placed on top of the dinnerplate & then saucer & bowl on top of it...but it didn't seem to look quite right! LOL! So I thought of dishtowels & thought, well, back in them days, one would just use it for a napkin! Unlike some of you, I did not do well with horses...usually got thrown off or fell off...on the few occassions I tried to ride at cousins' farm. Then raising our family on an acreage, my DH took care of that phase with ponies for our kids...he knew how to ride 'em! LOL! Cheeky...yes, those dishes are GALAXY...I bought a whole set several yrs. ago at a consignment shop & have loved them...cause they are so heavy-duty...no chips in those babies! Bet your's have held up the same! ValleyMP...that pic of your GM in 1908 (with gun) sounds like a winner!...use it! Great conversation pc! I'm leaving the tablescape up a few days as I'm going to get DH to have a meal at the table with me...we are "recliner diners!" So, thanks for the inspiration on this forum...I am learning so much! Thanks MM, OA, Luvs, and Jeanne for the nice comments. Milosmom, I hope you will look for transferware as there are so many patterns and colors it's amazing. I have a few small sets as well as lots of odd pieces. I buy single pieces often as it mixes well. OA, IKWYM as I am so looking forward to yard sales but since I don't need anything and have no more available storage space I really have to cull soon and buy very selectively. Luvs, when I was doing this I thot how fun it would be to work in a museum and set up displays of old things. Jeanne, the table linens had me stumped at first as none of my 'real' linens seemed suitable. I really should make some different things but need to get my craft room finished before I do so. I think I may buy more of the dollar store bandanas for tablesettings then I won't have to use the dog's! :-D We don't use much milk so the powdered works well for making bread, etc. We only buy 'real' milk when we have company altho the powdered must come from someone's dairy! Actually the thot of drinking it makes me gag! :-( My DH does have a sense of humor, otherwise he couldn't have survived 44 years with me! And vise versa too probably. ;-) I think he was quite amused to see what I was up to today! He said "whatever makes you happy" but in 'man-speak' I think that means he wondered if I should be committed! LOL The cat is a keeper too, he adopted us and we couldn't refuse! He also wondered what I was doing but is too lazy to move from his cushion! I'll have to clear this 'scape away tomorrow and try something different. I have so many ideas from all of you for tablescapes! I can see this could be a bit addicting! LOL

They look relieved they are safe. I know their current situation isn't ideal, but look at these smiles! Kids are resilient. I'm sure they were thrilled to see you. They feel safe and still connected. I know you will always be there for them and you can tell they think the world of you.
