Free Exchange Websites?

Posted by victoria1 (My Page) on

Does anyone know of any other free exchange websites besides Yahoo's Freecycle.com? They can be area specific or item specific, etc. I am looking for pet items, books, household stuff etc. Any links appreciated!

craigslist in your area: http://www.craigslist.com and then select an area appropriate to you.

Here in the Twin Cities, we also have the Freemarket: http://www.twincitiesfreemarket.org

Are there any good barter web sites for my area (middle TN)?

craigslist is available for Nashville. That may be too far away for you. You could try an Internet search engine with the terms "barter" and the names of some nearby cities or counties to see what it finds.

Check freecycle, it's a good thing, chapters all over.

Here is a link that might be useful: Freecycle . org

I read about Freesharing.org in Readers Digest this month. Like freecycle but less restrictive

For books I love paperbackswap.com
For music there's swapacd.com

Both are put together by the same folks

I started a new website a while back and you can only post free items to give away, My site covers the entire U.S. by zip code. Enjoy
