Mine was delivered while I was away on vacation so I just opened it. It like the large size because I use a BIG stockpot for some soups and my braun is insufficient for that. I have not used it yet, but I think I am going to like the variable speed function. Now I will imaptiently wait for the chopper attachement to go on sale real cheap. :)

I guess I have a different take on things - my sink sounds like many folk's 'before' but I love it!! With a kitchen of only 10X11, my design was based on my priority of maximum counter space and cabinet storage. The large double bowl sink was replaced with a 21 X 16 single bowl solid surface matching the counter, and it fits the scale of my room very well. The small size allowed me to flank the sink with a bank of four 18" drawers on one side and a 15" cab with pullouts on the other. Additionally, because the garbage disposer and dishwasher were disposed of and not replaced- I was able to fit in eleven drawers total, including a 30" cab with deep drawers. (not counting under sink space.) Yes, I must wash my dishes by hand, but I am happy to do so to get the extra work and storage space. Have never banged anything on the sink, but there is one large broiler pan that is a little awkward to wash. However, I only use it occasionally - have no regrets!!! I would recommend the obvious - that you figure out what is most important to you!! ps my sink is located in front of the window, but neither it nor the tall pull-out faucet is exactly centered, (cabs on one side are 3" wider) but it looks very nice anyway. - Penny G.

Carol, I have frames just like this but my clamps are chrome. Like Bev said her grandmothers were, I have hooks in my ceiling and I can hang them. I also put it on the back of chairs especially if it is small. Actually , I have a small and a large set. I quilt in the frame. And have quilted a lot of baby quilts so my DH made a smaller frame years ago. This is how my mother and aunts quilted. I am learning to machine quilt. It is much faster but if I have something really special I still hand quilt if I can. I guess old age has caught up with my hands. I, too, think this is the best way to get a really smooth quilt. The only difference I see in our frames is I can't tell if yours are marked. Mine is marked in 1 inch measures, with 0 in the middle of each board. My DH also helps me set up, etc. It does take more than one person to set up and also to roll to quilt. It is exciting seeing your set up! TFS Sally

Just wanted to think all the folks that have posted advice and tech help for Kinetico water softeners. I purchased a used Mach 2060s about 6 years ago . The unit would never hold soft water between regenerations.I decided it must be the resin. I replaced the resin which helped but still not right. Next I replaced the quad seals and a few other parts . Still no change . I decided to just live with it until I found a good deal on a used 4040 OD . After re bedding the resin and carbon I put it in service using the bypass from the previous unit only to discover I had the same problem as the previous one. After a lot of research on this and other forums I discovered Kinetico bypass valves can be set up to crossover causing the service water to enter into the outlet of the softener .The post I read was about an older design with a gray handle,but it seems if the valve turns 360 degrees it can be setup to crossover. After disconnecting the bypass I discovered that it had indeed been setup to crossover sending the water the wrong direction. After correcting my mistake the system is now functioning as designed. I am not sure I would have ever discovered the problem without the informative information found on the forum.Maybe someone can learn from my mistakes . My local dealer was actually quite helpful. Probably the reason Kinetico took away his franchise
