My despencer drawer also got stuck when it was closed. I pulled at the left side where it goes toward the back of the washer and gently forced it open. It came out and we pushed it in again and when we pushed the release button, it worked. It has done it a couple of times, but i am having it looked at this week when they come to see about the washer door as it is not rreleasing like it should. I had a wave before this that the drum rubbed against the boot and it wore an 1/8th in groove in it and i had rubber shavings all over my clothes. I returned it because of reading that others had had that problem and they had the boot replaced and it didn't help. If yours just rubbs very little it may lessen. Hope you are able to get the drawer open. We didn't break ours when we forced it open, it just came out as we pulled. Good Luck

The transition seasons are hardest, aren't they? But I would say either store only TWO coats (a lightish one for whichever season you have, and a heavier one for that season) in that closet. At the very least, I would say that wool dress coats should go in the bedrooms; they're probably not used daily. And when you want them (dress-up days), you'll be willing to go get them, probably. (And if you're not, then maybe you don't really need to own them--I do not ever buy my kids, or me, dress coats.) And rain coats can go in the closets, because if you need them, you'll REALLY need them, and you'll be willing to go there to get them. And you probably don't use them *that* often. Or, start storing ALL coats in the bedrooms. At the very least, perhaps you can train yourself to travel all the way into your bedroom before you take your coat off; then it's just the 2 boys. (I bought a Lands End Squall, bcs it's light AND heavy.)

It's been raining so I couldn't repair the other vent boot but I did climb on the roof and just slide the new Oatey over the old one. Since the flashing (new and old) has a raised aluminum hood below the rubber, there is no way that water can rise to the level of the damaged rubber. And there has been no leak during the heavy rain so it will serve for now, until I come up with something that won't move in a strong wind. The older, knowledgable guys at Home Depot don't usually steer me wrong, but it sure happened this time. The no-hub coupling is an interesting idea. Thanks everyone - now I know there are a number of feasible alternatives.

An outdoor cat is going to love finding other places. Never had to train a cat to use a litterbox, mine are indoor cats. Too many wild animals that are dangerous to any small pets. You could put the catbox in the garage if possible and use a cat door. Tracking was never a problem when I did this for years. In my current house this was not an option and I hated the cat box in the house. They now have a little house on the outside they can get to. I loved doing this when coming up with the idea, is an old wood garden window. But this still doesn't keep the tracking down and there is carpet in there too. It is attached to a back bedroom window with a cat door added and has room for them to sit and watch the world go by. Writing this I realize they have a good 10' before the tracking ends it's path. Regardless of still having sand, I am so glad to have that cat box out of the house. I have never been able to keep this from happening, regardless of the size of all possible ideas or what they call non tracking cat litter. The amount of fur inside their paw pads creates the tracking. Plus depending upon how judicious they are at messing with the darn sand. My second cat takes joy in using it and have promised him a "catalog" to read while being there. As said above, daily vacuuming is the real solution. Large mats can be found at auto stores or departments in Walmart. Rubber or rug types for the back of SUVs. I've never thought about using a cocoa mat, just realized this might work as they were great on the farm. We need to teach them to use boot scrapers.
