'Why didn't I think of that?' - household hint

| My girlfriend passed on one of those women's magazines that comes out weekly and I came across a household hint I had not thought of.
The scrubber you didn't know you had. Once a bath puff has lost it's shape, launder it and reuse it to scrub sinks, tubs or countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The plastic mesh holds the suds rinses off well and won't scratch surfaces.
Don't know if I'd use it in the kitchen but in the bathroom tub it might just work a treat. Take it or leave it. |

| I've reused these for some time now.They also work great for scrubbing outside furniture and gardening pots.I hang one on the faucet out back to use outdoors.Along with a pantyhose filled with soap slivers,it helps scrub my hands too. |

| Now that you mention it, it does make since. One of the tips in Tightwad Gazette is to use onion bags to make scrubbies and it is essentially the same material. I once knew a wonderful lady who would crochet kitchen scrubbies out of netting and I absolutely love them and someday hope to make some myself. I also would not see any problem with using them in the kitchen if you threw them in the washing machine first on hot water. |

| I posted the scrubbie tip in the cleaning forum before. I buy the 'scrubbies on a stick' for cleaning the toilet and one for cleaning the shower walls since it reaches better. They don't scratch and seem to clean even better than a bristle brush.
