Is this freebie site safe to use?

I found this site today but wasn't sure if I should even attempt to order anything from it. They are giving away freebies of coffee and other items.

Here is a link that might be useful: Link

What's the old saying? If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is?

If you're feeling lucky, I would make sure your computer's anti-spyware and anti-virus are up to date before you link to that site. And I would not give them my real email address on a bet. They have to be doing something to pay for the coffee they're sending you (and more "somethings" if the coffee is any darn good).

I'd like to tell you to go to a service provider that offers free email addresses, set one up, then reply from there ... but the link won't be available.

Try this.

Forward the message that includes the link from your current address to the new one, then click on the link from there, but just read the website address, click off of the link.

Then type that website address into the address line and go there without linking through the message that you transferred, for it'll almost surely give them your original email address.

Like steve said, and his advice is usually right on the money ...

... if something sounds too good to be true ... it likely is.

And there'll be a price to be paid, eventually.

By someone - quite often you.

Have a lovely week, what's left of it - and New Year ... what's left of it.

P.S. When someone says that someone else's opinion is right ...

... it usually means that they harbour the same prejudices, right?

Marie-
I'll make it easy: Forget about this web site. There is no free lunch. It's one of those sites where the stuff is "free" after you pay them for several overpriced other items. (If you look at the fine print, they refer vaguely to you having to complete several "fulfillment offers" or similar gobbledygook).

Consider this... Why would someone give you free stuff? Where would the money come from to keep doing this? This isn't some wonderful charity dedicated to giving freebies to folks, and expecting nothing in return. It's just another way of marketing crap to you. Did you find out about this site because you got an email from them? I get offers like this every day, and they immediately go into my junk mail folder (if they're not already there).

I'm not trying to chastise you. I just want to keep you away from these human vultures.

I knew it was too good to be true. I guess I was just hoping that someone had tried it and thought it was legit and great. I've already deleted the e-mail I'd received.
