The US Treasury (Social Security) deposited $10 in my account a few days ago. Did anyone else receive $10? I can't figure out why. My usual SS deposit is later in the month.

Nope, not me. Perhaps there's been some sort of mistake along the way that they're adjusting. Hey, that's lunch out--enjoy!

It was probably a small underpayment. Social Security automatically checks your account a couple times a year for any increases due. These "automated adjustments" happen at least twice a year. You probably got a letter mentioning or explaining the $10. Just keep the money.
