Hi, your plants look as if they're off to a great head start. I don't blame you- even if it dips down again it might only be one more time and it is worth the effort to cover them rather than waiting until the the traditional "all clear" sometime in March. I do not know how your winter in Central FL has compared to 2010 but on this side of the state I've been very happy that, although the weather has been wet cold crap most of the winter, we've avoided the extremes of 2010. I think our low so far in St. Pete was 39 or 40. Everyone's in ground Plumeria will live to see another year :)

I like how many ways you wrote hosta. That's a very artistic way to express hosta on the brain syndrome. :-) And yes, there's so many great pics of hostas in the alphabet this year making me want more, more, more!

Looks good, but I would eventually shape the beds with an eye towards ease of mowing around them. Those pavers I'm sure help a lot. You can just use plain mulch with a cut edge for creating a bed. As long as it is working good for you, enjoy! I am dead lazy when it comes to mowing but enjoy gardening, so I'm always enlarging beds and shrinking the lawn.

May not look like much to everyone in the 2 weeks since we started this project but, I feel we’ve made great strides considering the many hurdles and obstacles we’ve run into. Probably, the worst is that after the kitchen gutted, our son in law and, who was to be our biggest helper, was admitted into hospital, where he still remains and has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. Pandora’s Box completely opened. Actually, the hinges came off if you ask me. If it can happen, it will happen has been my thought since we began but, I wasn’t prepared for an ear infection to be so dangerous. I had at least hoped to be painting by now. However, we discovered many flaws, unacceptable structural concerns that we weren’t totally prepared for. They have since been corrected and I will state for the record, that our floating budget, has long since sailed. Today, it’s finally time to start covering the walls which now have gas lines and electrical boxes where they should be. No more, do not use microwave and toaster oven at same time or, no more electric cooking. Oh, wait. I forgot about lighting. I think that’s today. At any rate, considering the overall situation, my kitchen is no longer a priority and I’m sure it will be completed at some point in time.
