Hi Leah! You're welcome! I'm using the 5:1:1 mix for my single tuberose that I'm growing in a pot. The leaves don't look that dark green so Kemistry might be right that tuberoses might not like pine bark so much but who knows? My other single tuberoses I'm growing in the ground though the dog tends to trample them when she's chasing after squirrels. :( And yes, I suggest putting your Jasminum molle into a smaller pot and only watering when the soil starts to dry (again a moisture meter is a godsend, takes the guessing out of it). But you can also just look at your leaves as to when the plant needs water. Oh, and of course tilt your pots after watering! ;) Tiaree, I hope you find a MOO! If not you can always order a plant online. :) You might also like 'Belle of India' or 'Mysore Mulli' or 'Grand Duke'. If you do find another jasmine a fun thing to do is pick the fat un-opened flower buds right before they open and float them in a dish of water. The flowers will open up inside and the scent is truly amazing! :) -Robert

To learn more, go to ARS IRAR-R/ Rose registrations, information listed is that Mary Pickersgill was registered on 10-13-2010, being in bold print indicating a change accrued in the previous 4 months. Next try ARS MR 12 database, use the Search box to locate "Mary Pickersgill" listed as full (26/40) petals, with the latest update of 10-21-2010. After completing this circle several times, realize a change was made, but when? Approximately 18 months ago a similar issue accursed with "Renegade" registered in 2008 was listed as a single when it�s a double. Finally it was changed to the proper petal count in ARS 2010 Official List. I don't know about the bud drops, mine is in the ground but I can tell you it is a very hardy plant. First the avocado fell on it during Hurricane Rita. Then it had 4' of salt water to sit in for 24 hours thanks to Hurricane Ike. Then we had a hard freeze. THEN the firemen threw all the burning parts of the house and furniture on top of it and it was buried under that for a week. Then it froze again. It suffered a few broken branches and some scorched leaves through all of that and keeps on blooming. I love this plant and the fragrance. I put another in a pot in the alley in full sun and it blooms like crazy out there.

I spent quite a big chunk of my childhood living in Argentina, with a similar culture and lifestyle to Paraguay. We also had a live in housekeeper with her own bedroom and bathroom, but years ago people did not entertain in their kitchens, so there was only one kitchen, which was a separate room with doors. It seems the open concept house, with most of the action taking place in the kitchen, has also become a concept for those in some areas of South America, hence the need for 2 kitchens. Did you know that many of the mainland Chinese immigrants with larger homes also have 2 kitchens. The second kitchen is quite small and called a Wok kitchen. All the greasy/smoky cooking is done there. You will see these quite often in CA. Since the parilla is going in an "indoor" room you will need to use a vent hood above it to remove smoke and grease. I miss a good asado de tira and mollejas! Any plans for a basement? We had one under part of the house in Buenos Aires and it was a great space for storage and my father had a small workshop set up for himself. The floor in the entry was glass block which let light into the basement area. It was a very modern house at that time. You could do much better with closet placement in the bedrooms and storage (pantry, linen closet, utility closet). The maids room needs a closet. What are you storing in room "deposito"? I know that in many area of South America closets are done as furniture pieces that buyers will add after they buy a house, but since you are building it would make sense to build them into the plan.
