| At this time of year, Canadians are inundated with a tidal wave of blandishments suggesting that *everyone* should invest in tax-deferred retirement funds.
A high quality Canadian magazine dealing with personal investing strategies recently carried an article dealing with the "con"s as well as the "pro"s of using RRSPs (Registered Retirement Savings Plans), which I referred to recently in another thread.
I've found a book published last year that deals with some of the "con"s as well as the "pro"s, as well, written by a Chartered Accountant.
Being in the lowest tax bracket during some of my earning years, I saved 26% on investments made into RRSPs at the time - and now am paying something like 38% as I (must) withdraw the money.
Not as bad as it looks - for I had the tax that I saved at the time working in the RRSP, as well.
How are some of your retirees feeling about such projects in which you may have been involved?
I hope that you're all enjoying good health in your retirement.
