| I'm currently decorating my new house. In my living room, I wanted to put wall decals of picture frames on one of the walls, but decided against it because the wall decals looked cheap. I want to paint multiple picture frames of different shapes and sizes onto my wall instead. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks! ___________ |

| Just go to the Goodwill and Salvation Army and garage sales and pick up $1 picture frames and use the real things. |

| Trompe-l'il frames are a real artistic undertaking. they take many hours to get correct ad have the, look real (at lest at first glance. The shadows needed to make them appear to stand out from the wall are one of the more difficult things. Some yard sale frames (or Goodwill) with a new piece in the frame is going to be easier.

| I have seen some really nice decals that don't look cheap, because they aren't :) but I agree most do peel and look cheap. I would find some stencils instead. Or use some painters tape for a straight edge frame, then to add texture by painting over lace or stickers (peel off) for a nice design. I would also really consider going to a goodwill and just find some frames and spray paint them, easier and less time consuming IMO. I did this and when I get sick of them all I need to do is spray them again or take them down. It is only paint so good luck! |
