I cleaned my gutters a few weeks ago and now they are very noisy when it rains. The problem seems to be the vertical drop from the roof to the ground. The water drops down the pipe and is hitting the elbow at the ground level where the water comes out, making a large banging sound. Is there anything I can do to quiet this down? It is right next to our bedroom window and is very loud.

Reinstall the down spout so it is at an angle or wrap the outside of the bottom elbow with some soft material.

Hi Try gluing a sponge at the inside bottom of the down spout. Good Luck Woodbutcher
