| I just got a new house and this garage door is old as dirt. I think it from 1992. The motor doesn't look to be turning the chain at all. Should i just replace the operator or is there more to it? I know nothing about these things and was wondering if i got a new one if it would even work with the parts that are up there now. Any help is appreciated! |

| I would get a new opener. Make sure it is 1/2 hp. Replace the entire thing. It will come with installation instructions. Just make sure you follow them step by step. You will be much better off with new. |
