Flush mount ceiling fan to downrod?

I am getting ready to replace my current ceiling fan with a light (on a 42' downrod on a slanted ceiling). I've found a flush mount ceiling fan that would be a perfect match for the decor. There is no mention in the manual of how to adapt this to a downrod or if it is even possible. Can these flush mount ceiling fans be 'easily' adapted somehow to be used with a downrod?

Have you thought about contacting the manufacturer? It seems to me that they would know more about their products than anyone...

I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that a suspended ceiling fan is a different model than a flush mount fan for the same style. As mike said, I would contact the manufacturer and ask them if that style is available as a suspended unit.

If the internal wires were cut for a short installation, wire nuts would be required to extend the wires. Doing it safely and properly might be a challange.
