garage door opener problem...

My Craftsman Security Plus (1/2) HP GDO, closes all the way, but after a split second reverses. REad manual thoroughly and adjusted "down" to "maximum, but experiencing same problem. Sensors are aligned and indicate "green". Any advice before I call a tech?

Sounds like your door is closing a little too far. On the side of the motor unit you will find 2 controls. One is for the 'down limit.' Turn this in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. You will likely have to tweak a bit to get it right. If you adjusted the 'down force' on the rear of the motor unit you need to put it back where it was as it affects the safety of the unit.
