Craftsman garage door opener would not work.

i just bought a craftsman garage door opener, after spending several hours to install it....it would not work. when i pressed the wall control...it makes a humming sound and stops without opening, i tried to figure it out all throughout the night(no sleep) but unsuccessful(frustrated). Anybody with idea would be very appreciated.

If it is new it will be in warranty. Call Sears. If you followed the owners manual when you installed it go back and make sure you didn't skip a step.
