attaching privacy fence to 4x4 wood posts how?

I have about 20 panels that I need to put up. The post holes are already dug, 8' apart. I initially thought I would just screw the panels to the 4x4, but then there is only 2" or less to use for a face to screw on this wide 8' panel, which does't seem adequate. I've been looking at different types of brackets to use instead, and looked all over the internet with not much luck. The "box store" people aren't much help.
These are 8' wide solid panels, meaning the vertical wood slats are right next to each other. The 3 stringers going horizontally are about a 2x2 or less.. they used to use true 2x4's but not anymore

Can my forum members help me out here? Much appreciated.

Pre-drill 2 pilot holes from 2" back from the end of the horiz. stringers at an angel which leaves 1" between the bits exit and attach with #9 x 4" deck screws.

snoonyb offers one possible solution. If you posted a picture of what these things actually look like, you might get some alternative suggestions.

Such as, asking for advise before, where it may have been suggested that the post be set at 7'8"or 9" apart, notched to fit the stringers so the outside appears consistent over the length.

Your posts need to be set 8' on center, not 8' apart. Butt the panels and screw 'em in.

Hi, Make the post bigger. Scab a 2x4 on each side. Or use a simpson tie.
