I use Gutterstuff and I swear by it. I don't understand why people get the expensive, complicated systems when this stuff works so well and is so easy to put in yourself. I had it for about six years in my last home before I moved and never had a problem with it and it worked great. That was in a yard surrounded by mature trees, so there were lots of leaves. So many we had to use a commercial leafblower. I now have it here in my new house as well.

I installed gutter guards similar to the ones in the link on both my house and my Mom's. We both have lots of trees, and used to have serious issues with gutters/downspouts plugging.

Mine have been in place at least 10 years; Mom's a few years longer. I inspect them every year, and the only problem I've had with any of them was above the entry in my house - where a huge snow drift developed, and dislodged the gutter cover when it melted and refroze. It was easily repaired.

At $2/linear foot, I don't know how you can go wrong. I bought ours at Menards - mine in white, Mom's in brown, in 4-foot sections. They are easy to cut with a tin snips or similar, and easy to install - though my hands were a bit sore by the time I was finished with our house.
