Craftsman garage door opener

Good evening. I own a Sears Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener. I'm having a problem with the exterior wireless battery-operated keypad that operates it. Please tell me if you can help.

When I punch the 4-digit code into the keypad and hit Enter, the door will not open or close. The only action I get is the lighted keypad rapidly blinks for about 10 or 15 seconds. I checked the 9volt battery and it is good. The door still opens/closes fine with the car remote or interior control. I have tried resetting the unit with the red learn button on the rear of the unit but no luck.

If it has worked in the past and has quit I think it has just gone bad.
