Alternative termite eradication?

Any experiences with alternative means of termite eradication (other than fumigation)? I've seen several methods mentioned over the years, and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with these?

I believe it depends on the type of termite; tunneling or flying. I had flying termites and they bagged the house. I've known others that had ground treatments applied for subterrainian termites.

These are not subterrainian termites...no mud tubes, I assume that they must have flown in.

This statement does not rule out subterranian termites. It would help to say where you live as there are regional limitations to the flying termites.
