We have ATRIUM doors that lead to our rear deck. ATRIUM is the brand name. They are made of wood and look like French doors. They are hinged. Outside the doors are sliding screen doors that need attention. The sliders need to be replaced because they are cracked (23 years old) and the screens need to be replaced.

We hired a carpenter to do the work. He said he can easily replace the screens -- just take the old ones out of the screen door frames and put in new ones. But he cannot find replacement sliders. Is there an alternative short of replacing the whole door assembly?
