We had a small kitchen fire and our MDF white lacquer cabinet got smoke dammage, the contractor wants to have the doors painted.
We are concern regarding the finish of these doors and wonderring if this proper thing to do? Or should the cabinet be replace with new doors.
Thank you.

RE: Kitchen MDF Frosty white Lacquer

Lacquer IS a paint. It's just a high gloss paint. There is no reason that smoke damaged cabinets can't be repainted by a skilled professional with the proper equipment (sprayed), after proper prep work (sanded and primed).
