Roof update and insulation question

Hello friends. Thanks so much for your help so far. To summarize, I had roof damage in a storm, the insurance company at first claimed the roof was fine but with your help I persevered and the roof was covered. I've had the roof replaced with an architectural asphalt shingle, plenty of ice guard and edge and ridge vents.

The edge and ridge vents are new to this house. I live outside of Cleveland, Ohio and with all this ventilation above me, I'm concerned about being cold this winter. The existing attic insulation is almost fifty year old pink fiberglass batting.

I want to insulate the attic floor without stuffing up the edge vents, but I don't really know what I'm doing. I have looked for info on the web. Haven't found what I need. Can you recommend an insulating material, and tell me what to do to make sure I don't ruin my expensive new roof? Thanks again!
